Dynasty Warriors 9 Will Now Have Less Chinese People

Xia Pi (BFN) In some shocking news about the latest installement of the Dynasty Warriors franchise, Koei has announced that Dynasty Warriors 9 will contain less Chinese people than its predecessors.

In a statement issued by game developer Yukimura Sanada, he insisted that this was to “…be more inclusive of other races and ethnicities” and that “for far too long these games have been to focused on Chinese citizens and seemed to cast aside others and make them feel out of place”. Ultimately they decided this decision based on that “…it’s 2018 and times are changing. There is major backlash online for games focusing on a single ethnic group. These types of games are no longer acceptable in this political climate and people are rising up against hate and intolerance.”

No word yet on how this last minute decision will impact the overall game but it appears that the fall of the Chinese Han Dynasty and fight of the Three Kingdoms will include people from all walks of life. What we do know is that it will still be a hack and slash and have the feel of games before while at the same time being something new and innovative.

The game is still set to release on February 13th of this year.
